Description of the Test:
People Mapper is a personality questionnaire designed for HR practitioners and line managers to assess certain useful aspects of personal work style. It is not intended to provide a comprehensive mapping of normal adult personality. It can be used in a selection or developmental context. It consists of 128 pairs of statements presented in a forced-choice format. The instrument is not timed but takes approximately 30 minutes to complete. Most of the items are anchored in the work domain and the instrument is designed for managerial and white-collar occupations. Scores are initially computed on 11 scales representing the following primary dimensions: Change Oriented; Risk Taking; Competitive; Limelight Seeking; Work Oriented; Stamina; Perfectionist; Time Managed; Warm; Outgoing; and Worrying. In addition, there are five secondary dimensions that are factor combinations of the 11 primaries. These are described as: Dynamic; Work Stamina; Controlled; Extrovert; and Worrying. A graphic profile is produced on a separate sheet, combining both primary and secondary dimensions. The userÂ’s guide is nicely presented and organised.
