Occupational Psychology in Financial Services: Practical Application, Commercial Impact
Hardeep will share how she has built a career applying occupational psychology within investment-focused and performance-driven financial services environments. Drawing on her experience partnering executive and investment leaders, she will demonstrate how psychology can bring greater rigour to high-stakes decisions involving leadership, potential, succession, promotion and organisational capability.
The session will also explore how occupational psychologists can build commercial credibility, translate psychological insight into practical action and strengthen the leadership and talent required to support performance, growth and value creation.
Speaker Biography
Hardeep is a Chartered Occupational Psychologist and senior Talent and Leadership leader with extensive experience across global banking, asset management and private markets. At Lloyds Banking Group, she shapes the Group's executive talent strategy and the talent and leadership agenda for its Insurance, Pensions and Investments business—one of the Group's strategic growth areas.
Before joining Lloyds, Hardeep was Group Head of Talent Development at ICG, a global alternative asset manager, where she established and led the firm's first global Talent and Learning function. Partnering with the CEO, Executive Committee and senior investment leaders, she shaped executive assessment and development, succession, leadership capability, talent strategy, and Managing Director and Partner promotion.
Hardeep also spent nearly a decade at HSBC, building deep experience across asset management, private banking and investment banking. Across these environments, occupational psychology has underpinned how she assesses leadership and potential, strengthens senior decision-making and translates behavioural insight into commercial and organisational value.
