Description of the Test

The GRT2 is designed as a test of general reasoning ability for use with an adult (16+) population. There are three sub-tests: verbal; numerical and abstract. The items incorporate a number of different types, such as analogies, odd-one-out series. The test is designed to assess reasoning relatively independently of educational level. The format is multiple choice. There are 30 items in the verbal sub-test and 25 in each of the others. The test can be administered either by computer or paper-and-pencil, but scoring and reporting require either use of the GeneSysTM system or bureau processing. The GRT2 manual also describes two other tests: GRT1, for use with graduate populations, and the Critical Reasoning Test Battery.
